Iced Coffee vs. Iced Latte

iced coffeeIced coffee and iced lattes are easy to distinguish. Here’s the simple way to remember the difference. Iced latte’ have espresso. The iced coffee does not.

Iced Coffee is brewed hot or cold. One method is twice the strength of normal brewed coffee – to make it stronger and concentrated. It is brewed hot, then served over ice in a cup. One popular method to brew iced coffee at cafe’s is in a Toddy maker, called Cold Brew.

It’s called cold brew because cold water saturates the ground coffee and it brews for 8-16 hours. It’s very concentrated coffee once it’s ready so water or milk added when served. This method lowers the acidity for a bold but smooth coffee.

Iced Latte‘s are a couple of shots of espresso and the rest milk,or soy etc., over ice.
