Welcome to Daily Demitasse, the no-nonsense caffeinated guide to coffee, written by a fellow barista. This isn’t a blog for the average coffee drinker. Instead it’s for coffee enthusiasts up to professionals who have a passion for the taste of coffee and the industry. If you can taste the difference between quality coffee and espresso shot extractions, this blog is for you.
Mission: To educate coffee enthusiasts, getting to the heart and soul of the bean, culture and community within the industry.
Her Focus Is More From A Baristas Point Of View, But Also Giving Coffee Relevant Information & Teaching More About Coffee As Well As The Industry. I Feel That Her Site Has And Will Grow To Be A Niche Type Of Coffee Site. – @baristaonduty

Where did the blog name come from?
A demitasse is a 3oz. porcelain cup, that a traditional shot of espresso is served in. “Daily Demitasse” is your espresso shot of no-nonsense coffee information. It is also a metaphor for my life.

About Your Barista
Jennifer Vaaler is a fellow Barista, coffee connoisseur and freelance writer based in Cary, North Carolina. “My passions are coffee and writing so it made sense to combine the two into this site.” She has been in the coffee industry over eight years and has written two features in Coffee Talk – the most influential coffee trade journal in the industry and has Managed a start-up coffee bar. Coffee culture isn’t just about coffee. It’s a lively-hood. One Jennifer takes very seriously. If only the highest quality matters, you are in the right place, a no-nonsense caffeinated resource.
“There is nothing like the aroma of earthy, spicy and chocolaty tones being ground first thing in the morning. Knowing where the beans came from and all the people who were involved in the process from farm to cup, I can’t help but to appreciate that first sip in the morning,” said Vaaler.
